Global shipping giant pays lower rates of tax than its workers

International Transport Federation has exposed how global shipping giant, Maersk, pays less tax than many of its workers.

The research, authored by CICTAR, reveals that the company paid just 3.7 % tax on its profits in 2021, and only 3% last year. This is significantly less than the rate of tax paid by its workers around the world.

The revelations have been covered in Law 360 and industry publications, GCaptain and the Shipping Telegraph.
