The charities watchdog is investigating allegations made in parliament that the Hilllsong church may be involved in tax evasion, fraud and money laundering.

The Independent MP Andrew Wilkie has used parliamentary privilege to accuse Hillsong leaders of spending thousands of dollars on lavish holidays, airfares and cash gifts.
