CICTAR joins civil society voices in the G20 process, to highlight the urgency of taxing billionaires and the multinationals they profit from

CICTAR’s researcher, Livi Gerbase i=was interviewed as part of the ‘civil society voices’ in the Brazil-hosted G20 process.

Livi points out that one of the challenges of taxation of billionaires combining it with the taxation of multinationals and their dividends, since most of the wealth of billionaires derives from the ownership of shares in these companies this year.

“The challenge is to continue advancing the international agenda, improving the common minimum tax and implementing taxation and combining these efforts with national initiatives, to close all the tax gaps that favor the richest" says Livi.
